Three Problem People

In the book of proverbs it talks about three problem people.  Mockers, fools and the simple.  These words are used to describe the bad characters we should avoid.  Here's a description of each one.

  1. The "Simple"; are the least harmful group; they live without thinking and are too lazy to change.
  2. The "Fools"; have more smarts but have made a conscious decision to live by their own lights, independent of God and independent of good advice.
  3. The "Mockers"; worst of all, are rebels against God who make their prideful position known to everyone. They mock God, but God will mock them in the end.

~Proverbs 1:22~ "How long will you simple ones love your simple ways?  How long will mocker delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?"

~Proverbs 1:26~ " I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you."

AMEN....

The Fear of the Lord

Many of you may think the phrase "fear of the Lord" means fright or terror, well it doesn't.  It means "having a good relationship with God," based on reverence and respect for him and his commands.

In this passage below, it means righteous living.

~Proverbs 8:13 says, "To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech."

Benefits of Wisdom

~Proverbs 3:1-5~
My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity.  Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.  Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

Remember to; "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding".

Amen....

Wise Sayings

God wants his people to be wise.  In the book of Proverbs, it speaks about two kinds of people.  The fool is the wicked, stubborn who ignores God and the wise is who seeks to know and love God.

~Proverbs 1:5 "Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser.  Let those with understanding receive guidance".

~Proverbs 2:20 "Follow the steps of good men instead, and stay on the paths of the righteous".

~Proverbs 17:4 "Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip; liars pay close attention to slander".

~Proverbs 18:2 "Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions".

~Proverbs 19:1 "Better to be poor and honest than to be dishonest and a fool".

~Proverbs 22:24-25 "Don't befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul".

Need I say more.....  Amen!

Never Stop Trying

People all over the world encounter setbacks in their lifetime.  Setbacks can be viewed as a time period for some adjusting.  Seek the Lord's face before adjusting, allow Him to direct your path and never stop trying!

~1 Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm, immovable always abounding in the work of the Lord knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile.

Amen.
