Run YOUR Race in 2011

Greetings friends! WHAT A YEAR! WHAT A YEAR! I have both enjoyed it and been challenged greatly in 2010. There were so many mountain tops and so many valleys but at the end of 2010, I know I ran the race this year that He wanted me to. As the year ends I find myself very hungry for the LORD, I just can't get enough of Him. Even after spending blocks of time with Him I still want more. Recently I have discovered sermons by various men of God on Youtube and they have blessed my socks off!!! One in particular by Bishop Michael Pitts. In it he tells about runners running in a marathon and how some people had legs to run, some people had prosthetic legs and they ran. Not only did they run, THEY FINISHED.
Paul says 2 Timothy 4:7,8 New King James Version)

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

As Christians we are in a fight as well as a race, we know much about the fight but the race part hmmm...God wants you to know today that in 2010+ He wants you to "stay in the race and finish!!!" In THIS race finishing is what matters! In the natural in a marathon when the winner crosses the finish line the cheering crowd stays, they continue to cheer until the last person crosses that line! It doesn't matter when you finish, just keep going in 2011 when you get good reports and bad. Sometimes it's harder to stay in the race on the path and the lane that God wants us in because of success, it's not always the failures that tempt us to quit. Lastly "Run Your Race" with your eyes on you! As saints we are not in a competition with one another, because I have my own race to run I don't have to try to preach like Juanita, sing like Yolanda, or evangelize like Billy Graham I'm not in competition with any one, I'm here to run my own race and to get my own crown for doing so. RUN SAINTS OF GOD IN 2011, RUN WITH EVERYTHING IN YOU!!! Like natural runners you WILL get discouraged and tempted to quit but GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU...and HE THAT IS IN YOU IS NOT A QUITTER. During those times get the water of the Word and the Holy Ghost and get back in there and RUN, and FINISH your course for 2011. We love you here at Prayer4every1 Ministries and we are praying God's best for you all in the upcoming New Year

Tales of Secret Santas and Saints

Greetings friends! It's only 4 more days til CHRISTmas and I know some of you are preparing for friends and family, getting the house ready or maybe you are busy buying last minute gifts, and speaking of buying gifts have you ever seen or partcipated in the Secret Santa game at work. You know you pick a name and then you buy that person a gift anonymously. They either love it or hate it, but because your identity is hidden it's all good. Well that concept is not new really. There are many people who navigate through life as "Secret Saints." You know they have accepted Christ, they go to church but when they get around others they just straight clam up. They don't want to offend anybody, they don't want to make waves, they just want to live a quiet life. If that's you then I have great news for you..God wants you to open up your mouth and represent Him! Jesus didn't leave Heaven, endure the persecution and crucificxion for you, just so you could get yours and keep silent. No. He wants you tell those in your sphere of influence what His Son has done.
Psalm 26:6-8

I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:
That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

YOU CAN DO IT and you should do it. You may have people coming to your house for the Holydays etc...let it be known that Jesus is the Reason for the Season! Maybe you are ashamed well don't be, because if you are ashamed of Him -He will be ashamed of you.
Luke 9:26
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

TIS the season to share the Good News that Christ was born, died, and has risen again for us. Don't keep Jesus a secret..Go tell it on the mountain...(-:

JESUS is the REAL Reason to be Merry THIS Season!!!

Don't you just love Jesus!!! He's totally awesome! He's wonderful, glorious, holy, rigteous, victorious, triumphant and mighty!!! WHEW!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!
He IS the only way to reconciliation to God, He heals the sick, casts out demons, feeds the multitudes, restores, comforts, and I could go on and on!

That star that shone brightly leading both shepherds and wise men to the Star of Heaven--JESUS is gone now but Jesus the bright and morning STAR still lives!!! When He went back to Heaven He didn't just sit down and leave us on our own. NO! He is in us, He's praying for us, He's working with us in signs and wonders as we teach, and preach His Word! He is working great things through in us and He has given us power (Luke 10:19) and He's given us His name! Remember these Words from Jesus and the acts of the Apostles?!

John 15:16
"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

Acts 3:6-8
Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them-- walking, leaping, and praising God.

Acts 3:16 "And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

HIS NAME not yours or mine! Jesus is ALL THAT!!! I love this time of year--people are so friendly and so open to the Gospel and to think JESUS IS THE REASON to be Merry This Season. Now of course everybody doesn't celebrate CHRISTmas for that reason but hey we as Christians do!!! Be honest. Hasn't God been good to you all year long??!?! Isn't KNOWING the Father through Jesus Christ the ULTIMATE GIFT and EXPERIENCE on earth???!! YESSSSSSSSS!!!
Gifts wrapped in wonderful paper and colorful bows, beautiful buffets of fabulous food spread out before us is grand, BUT God knows if we didn't have any of it JESUS WOULD STILL BE ENOUGH!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!

LORD of Direction

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.Proverbs 3:5,6

I shared this yesterday with my FB friends and I wanted to share this with all our friends at Prayer4every1.com too!
Recently, I was blessed with some money and I thought what shall I do with it? As I thought about it I heard in my spirit- License Plates. Excitedly I jumped on my computer and after 1 1/2 hrs. I asked God,What do YOU want it to say. GET SAVD was His will and it was AVAILABLE!!!

I don't know about you, but I have NO PROBLEM spending money but as I press into my relationship with the Father I want His input on everything now, instead of just my own. I've walked almost 30 years with Jesus now and I'm really understanding what it means to "Abide in Him." It means trusting Him and consulting Him, making Him aware of plans and situations. We know He already knows about everything going on, but He wants to hear about them from you and I. God wants us to ask for His wisdom and direction and when we listen we are blessed and others are as well. (-:

Content Clay (-:

But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay and You are our potter and we are all the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8

Television or you could term it this way TELL- LIE- VISION or TELL-A-VISION whatever way you look at it television represents the works and ways of the culture we live in. From parents and husbands appearing to be as dumb as door knobs, to those celebrities with their flawless skin and perfect bodies(although it may have been photoshopped or cut on to look that way). My husband has a friend who works in the industry and he commented to my husband one day on how sad it is that so many young women see these beauty ads and think if I only have skin like ______ not realizing that underneath that makeup and those photo enhancements is a woman with dry, red blotches---JUST LIKE her.
I said all that to encourage all of us to be content, happy, and appreciative of how God made us. Now while it is true some of us may have to work hard or harder to keep that waistline down under 36 inches to prevent the risk of heart disease, yet the fact remains that God the Potter has given us all of the following:
face, eyes, nails, skin, hair, dna, muscles, bones, figure, intelligence, gifts, talents, nerves, cells.....EVERYTHING!!!
So how we can complain because we don't like how He has created us??? Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you are fearfully and wonderfully made, tell yourself you are the best you-you can be. Tell yourself how beautiful you are and that any adjustments that need to be made, need to be made for medical reasons not because you don't like how God made you look. COMPARE AND DESPAIR--DON'T DO THAT ANYLONGER! Be content, rejoice, and celebrate WHO YOU ARE and HOW GOD MADE YOU INSIDE AND OUT (-:

Do Your Part Let Em In

Colossians 3:15 & 16 (21st Century King James Version)

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also ye are called in one body, and be ye thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

As we all celebrate Thanksgiving and prepare next month for Christmas, I want to encourage those who may be feeling a little down this year. Maybe you have to celebrate the Holydays alone this year.Maybe you have lost your job. Maybe your life has been turned upside down and right side up. I know life can be challenging, sometimes it's one storm after another, but I'm convinced God is the same mighty God that parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, fed the 5,000, saved us, and of course answers prayer.
Experience for yourself the benefits of applying the "Let" by letting God in those turbulent, challenging, or lonely areas of your life whether on your job, at home, in your marriage, wherever!!!
Know that God's power, comfort, and victory will be manifested as you believe, rest and "let" God in. It's like being given gifts that are just sitting on the table all wrapped up and beautiful, you won't be able to fully enjoy all that the giver intended for you if, you don't open them. The same principle can be applied here. The peace of God, The Word of God, and the Praise for God let it in and then pass it on. Tis the season...this is YOUR season (-:

Are you Sick? Tell Your Faults to a Friend.

Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5:16

Confess your slip up to one another, your false steps, your ofenses, your sins that you may be healed and restored to a spiritual tone of mind and heart! WOW!! Look at that! Now we know that there are many ways to get healed from sickness. God of course, then God heals through medicine, rest etc.. here we have God saying to us through James that we are to confess to one another. Now we are not confessing in the sense of seeking forgiveness from man. NO. God is the only One who has the power and authority to forgive sins. This confession is speaking of accountability and then after hearing of our brothers or sisters offense praying for them that they may be healed and restored. I have to tell you I find strength in telling my sister in the LORD when I have jacked up after I have first gone to the LORD and asked for forgivness.

Realizing there are babies born into the Kingdom daily so this advice is for the babes- DO NOT TELL EVERYBODY YOUR BUSINESS. Everybody doesn't need to know and furthermore everybody is not mature enough to handle it and or keep it. Ask God to send you some mature friends that you can confide in and He will do it.
Now after you have shared your slip up(s) a true friend will encourage you and pray with you or for you. What's so beautiful about this is that you have another person to help you in that particular area of struggle through encouragement, the Word, and prayer.
God bless you richly as you experience the richness of this Scripture.

Torn

One time in church the preacher asked one night, "How many people want to go to Heaven?" Everyone put up their hands except one little boy. The preacher asked him, "Don't you want to go to Heaven?" The little boy answered, "I sure do, but I thought you were getting a load up for tonight! When I read that story by Dr.McGee I roared! Truly we all want to go to Heaven, but not right now!

Paul wrote for I'am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. Phil 23,24

WOW! Paul was desiring to go but wanted to stay for the people's sake. Have you ever felt like you were ready to GO!?! You don't have to tell it but I will. Sometimes I'm like, The Rapture happening today Papa would be nice. Life has a way of putting a tear in your eye on a regular basis sometimes, but we have work to do. I heard somebody say, "We are invincible, til we finish the work of God." I love that!!! We aren't going anywhere til our work is done! Hallelujah!!! To be with Christ...far better YES. I just plain long to be with Him, I long to be with Him more when everything is going just beautifully, realizing that no matter how good life can get it's going to be so much better in Heaven with Him forever. Now Paul experienced some crazy persecution, but I'm so glad that he stayed as long as he could for the church's sake, yes even for the world's sake. Keep it moving saints of God no matter how hard it gets because one day we shall behold Him face to face and we're going to see all those we've touched for Jesus and we will hear Him say, "Well done!!"

LORD of Suffering

I don't know about you, but I have never experienced living in Heaven in God's presence, majesty, or splendor. I have never walked on streets of gold or been apart of the Godhead where all power, wisdom, wealth was at my command? I have never been apart of the process of creating a world, or a bird. I don't know what it must feel like to think about a human and instantly speak him or her forth do you? Jesus does. The Bible says He learned obedience through the things He suffered. I'm sure this is referring to the cross but what about before the cross? If my child had to be born in a feeding trough and experience such hatred from men for doing divine things such as forgiving people's sins and healing people, I would consider that a form of suffering wouldn't you? Yet Jesus suffered for us in more ways than one while He walked the earth. Then He took the wrath of God for our sins, He reaped a harvest that WE had sown and in all that it is said that He learned obedience through the things He suffered. We are in a glorious battle, a gory battle, a victorious battle. We persevere, we experience set backs, we gain ground, we sin and lose ground then through the Blood we gain back that ground plus some...we suffer hunger in some parts of the world, we are persecuted and ridicules for our faith. We endure some horrific attacks from the enemy in our lives, on our jobs, we witness our children being atacked and we suffer while serving as saints of the Most High. Whatever you are going through today....learn obedience from it. Learn to obey God no matter how hard things in this life may get. Learn to die to the flesh so that the will of God may be manifested. Learn to die so that others may learn how to truly live.

Show Your Pastors Some Love In October!

I'm just sitting here reflecting on church tonight and I must say I'm thankful for my Pastors Ray and Nakia Johnson. They are so caring, inspiring, accessible, and REAL!
Saints of God October has been designated as "Clergy Appreciation Month" and I think it is appropriate to honor those awesome Shepherds that watch over our souls joyfully! I'm not a Pastor nor do I have any aspirations of becoming one, but I can tell you this I've been in close enough proximity to know --THAT calling is NO JOKE! There are people issues, devil issues, battles, tricks, traps etc...and yet they continue to serve us joyfully while holding tightly to God's unchanging hand.
There are 10 days left so if you haven't showed your Pastor(s) some love you still have time.
Don't know what to do? Always pray for them, that is needed and welcomed I think more than anything else we could do besides serve faithfully in the house, but if you can do more then do it! Truly they endure much, sacrifice much, and love much. I'm sure your Pastors are like mine worthy of "double honor" so keep them covered, get a card, get a card and put a gift card in it, or maybe do that holy handshake thing when you go up front and slip him/her secretly whatever you can. It's not the amount given but the heart behind the amount. Appreciate your Pastors because God does, and we should too (-:
Got a shout for your Pastors? Post it!!!

A Little Dab Won't Do Ya!

Growing up I used to hear a saying, "A little dab will do ya!"
Well that might be true for some cleaning products or some cooking spices, but when it comes to God's Word we need an abundance of it daily!!! We as Christians are bombarded with all kinds of darkness and temptations every day. We also happen to live on a fallen planet where a lot of people have their own set of internal standards. That's why God's Word is so important, it's the only way to success God's way, check out Joshua 1:8! As we read it daily, meditate, even memorize God's Word we are being lead, kept, and transformed! Saints of the Most High we need more Word in our daily diet! It's not enough to hear a couple of sermons through out the week no, we have to eat from "God's Holy Buffet" daily so that we will stay under the influence of the Word, instead of the influence of the world.
May we encourage you to open the Bible up today? Read a chapter or two, maybe even a book or two, memorize a verse, then stop and apply it to your life. Make some changes today! Make some things right with those you have wronged today, extend some mercy to somebody today, forgive and accept forgiveness, leave that parking spot up front for somebody else today, encourage somebody, get rid of some tv channels, get rid of some phone numbers, delete some folk from FB that are leading you in the wrong direction. WHEW!!! God's Word is the way to go, so go ahead eat all of God's Word that you want, eat so much of it that you get addicted to it. Anybody else hungry for the WORD????!!!

When the Enemy Speaks Pt 2

Happy Wedenesday to you! We have been blessed with another day and I'm so thankful what about you?! Well last week the LORD took me to Isaiah to strengthen me. I was in the heat of the battle and feelings of despair and discouragement were heavy on me as the devil taunted me with his wicked words. As we read last week the king of Assyria was trying to break the people's spirits with his bold, threatening, insulting and even deceptive words to the Israelites. Afterwards King Hezekiah humbled himself and prayed. Now I'm in a battle, but not because I'm living a sinful lifestyle. I'm under attack because like you I'm a Christian and we ARE in a war. If the devil can break us down,( which he will not by the way) then he doesn't just derail us, he derails everybody we've ever ministered to and the ones we've yet to minister to. So God tell the king to give the king of Asyyria a message and can I tell you OUR God is ALL THAT! He comes right back at the king using some very "in your face" statements for space sake I will post a few, but check out OUR GOD!!!
Isaiah 37

21Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria:

22This is the word which the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.

23Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

29Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

33Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it.

34By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.

35For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake

It hate to say no matter what you are going through because it sounds callous to me so I will say it this way, what you are going through may be difficult but YOUR God, the Most High God is going to come through for you and the enemy will be turned back...again!!! Be encouraged and rejoice, for OUR deliverer has seen and heard and is on the MOVE for His own sake!!! HALLELUJAH!!!

When the Enemy Speaks--Your Response is Critical

Isaiah 36:4-10 (21st Century King James Version)

And Rabshakeh said unto them, "Say ye now to Hezekiah, `Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria: What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?
say, thou sayest (but they are but vain words), "I have counsel and strength for war." Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?
Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, in Egypt, whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him. But if thou say to me, "We trust in the LORD our God," is it not He whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, "Ye shall worship before this altar"?
Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them. How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?
And have I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy it? The LORD said unto me: "Go up against this land, and destroy it."'"

Today the devil decided to taunt me, he tried to discourage me with lies and tried to rock my faith in my Father's love and concern for me. Immediately God took me to Isaiah 36 & 37. It starts off with the enemy- King Sennacherib's threatening words to King Hezekiah and all of Israel. I'm not a military person but this truly seems like some sort of military tactic. Try to break down the heart of the people by putting them in fear and then when the army comes in there won't be much resistance. Then he tries to make them feel stupid for trusting in God, Pharoah and he attempts to make them feel inferior by commenting on the size of their army, and of course he so called word of the LORD. There are times in our lives when the assault is so intense, when the devil shoots off his mouth and touches our circumstances. Depending on where you are will determine your response. Today the Father saw and heard what the enemy was trying to do to me. I refused to give in, feel sorry for myself, or doubt God. God in His love took me to Isaiah and I was strengthened, I was empowered and I told the devil YOU ARE A LIAR!

Next week let's be encouraged together as we hear what happened next and how King Hezekiah reacts, and how God responds to both the King of Assyria and King Hezekiah. Keep your head up saints of God---GOD IS FOR US!!!

Are YOU Convinced? Then Sit Still (-:

And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.
Philippians 1:6

I'am convinced Paul says! This is a divine fact that is good to always keep before us. Our GOD has begun a good work in us, and not only has HE begun it HE will continue it right up until the time of Jesus' return! Truly none of us have arrived but truly all of us are under "Divine Construction" daily. Thank You Father!
He's developing that "good work" perfecting and bring it to FULL COMPLETION IN US!HALLELUJAH! Did you catch that?!! He IS doing it. Now of course we have to sit still so He's not trying to chisel on a squirming piece of marble, but again He's doing the work and Hes not going to stop. We just need to be convinced saints, convinced that no matter what flaws we see in our spiritual mirror right now God will remove before the end of our days. He is working on us, some of us may see huge changes taking place, others may see small changes, but what matters most is that we KNOW that we KNOW that God isn't done with us yet. I look at like this I'm a mansion with many rooms, the scaffolding(Christ) is up all around me every day and my Father is going from room to room in my heart. He's developing and decorating each room not only for my advancement and pleasure but for His use as well. So take heart, you and I are under "Divine Contruction." Stop squirming and let Him have His way (-:

No More WHY ME LORD's Left

Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. 2 Thessalonians 1:4

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Above are Scriptures that I like to call the meat and fiber of my diet. God says,Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that comes from God. So for me as I travel along this journey with Christ, the above Scriptures are becoming my daily bread. I rejoice today because I'am finally at a place in my walk where it's ALL GOOD! God through His Word and through my spiritual dad and Pastor have broken all previous doctrinal errors from my life by showing me that although I'am a Kings kid, I'am going to continually go through some hardships, tests, and trails with accompanying victory that have nothing to do with sin but everything to do with being His child. I'am talking our divine status in Heaven and Earth that draws deliberate assaults and attacks from the enemy. I'm talking about CRAZY WARFARE that demands CRAZY PRAYER, CRAZY FASTING, and CRAZY PRAISE! HALLELUJAH! There are no more WHY'S in my vocabulary as I have learned to embrace the WHY NOT'S! Are you here yet? I hope so, there is PEACE and HOPE in this place! Jesus has told us we were going to go through why don't we believe Him or why do we blame ourselves? Because we get weary at times and then we want to find reasons in the natural to explain what's going on. You are a threat CHRISTIAN! You are advancing the Kingdom of God--it's really not about you as much as it is about Him! Be encouraged today and get rid of the WHY ME LORD statement and say WHY NOT ME- I'M DANGEROUS!!! It's not always easy to comprehend sometimes that we fight an invisible adversary that works through visible circumstances and people, but God wants you to know today that He wants YOU to: Be glad, Be patient, and Persevere til your change comes, because it IS coming and you will be victorious!!!

His Presence is a Super Highway

Psalm 16:11 (New King James Version)

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

I don't know about you but I have a lot of things on my mind these days. There are things to do, battles to fight, self improvement, home improvement, studying, sharing, and the list can go on and on. Do you ever get tempted to just rush through it all?! I do and that's when I get the Father's rebuke. I have to admit I was about to rush into my day and I stopped and just went into His presence and this is the Scripture He gave me for today. Can I tell you that God wants our first, so we can do what's second, third, fourth etc... As we start our day we have many plans and things that need to get done. When we get with God first, He promises to show us the path of life. Sometimes I get distracted by situations or even feelings demanding my attention first, let me encourage you DON'T GO THERE UNTIL YOU GET WITH GOD FIRST. I can tell you whenever I have acted on something BEFORE praying or seeking God the results were not good. Truly there are many paths we could take daily to accomplish this or that but getting into His presence first, guarantees me His path and course of action. In Your presence is fulness of joy! Hallleujah!!! Just reading that again does something to me!
How many of us could just sit in His presence all day whether through prayer, praise, worship, studying? I know I could!!! That's what makes Heaven such an awesome expectation! There we will "be" in His presence forever not because He dwells in us through His Spirit, but because we will dwell in His presence with Him! Glory to God!!! Here on earth we can experience so many things through God's Spirit and I want all I can get of God how about you? This Scripture is so awesome and I thank God that we can experience His help, beauty, joy, power, and refreshing of His presence everyday through prayer, reading, and worshipping. Truly being "in His presence" is the super highway that leads to direction, fulness, and pleasures forevermore. (-:

Jesus is Lord NOT Sin

Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Isn't it wonderful to know that Jesus broke the power of sin in our lives and that as we live as being risen from the dead with Christ we now have power over it! Praise God!
In his book "The Discipline of Grace," Jerry Bridges says something that just resonates with me where the Word is concerned. This is what he says, Sin may get into the throne room of the heart and play the bully in this or that particular act of sin but it shall never again reign! Hallelujah! Rememeber this-- it is one thing for sin to reign in our flesh (our spirits have been redeemed not our flesh)but it is another matter for us to "live" in sin. We don't have to give the keys to our daily lives to sin when Jesus already evicted it and it's power to reign over us...just stay dead to it and remember Jesus is Lord.

An Audience of One

John 8:29 (Amplified Bible)

29And He Who sent Me is ever with Me; My Father has not left Me alone, for I always do what pleases Him.

Jesus is so awesome. Here it is He left all the glory of Heaven to come down here to a sin stained planet and people. There was no insecurity or fear found in Him although He was no longer in Heaven with the Father like He was before He became the Word made flesh. Yet He knew that the Father was still with Him. I love this Word of our Lord as I make it my business to follow in my Lord's footsteps this verse keeps me steady. What do I mean by that? Well Jesus never did anything to impress people or make himself look good in front of others He only sought to please the Father. There are times in this walk where we have to decide to stop doing something or continue to do something based on our motives. I'am a praiser! I don't hold back and give Him all of me in whatever I put my hands to. I have had people tell me that it doesn't take all that or how will you get to any pleasure fromn God's work..my answer I only want to do and give to Him what is pleasing to Him from me. I'm so thankful to be in a place where I do what I do and am comfortable with who He has fashioned to me to be as it is only for His pleasure that live, move, and have my being. Unlike Jesus I sometimes have memory lapses and forget that He is with me and that He expects me to do those things consistently that are pleasing to Him with His help of course, but here again is the sheer awesomeness of Jesus. From emotions to deeds Jesus shows/showed us perfectly how truly blessed we are to be able to be and do those things that please God, not for the worlds sake but strictly for an audience of One. That's why Jesus is Lord.

A Letter from The Professor

I write thses words at the age of fifty-five. During the past ten or twelve years, I have often- and with greater seriousness than ever before- reflected upon the course of my life. Certain patterns of thought and attitude and conduct have come to light, some of them quite disturbing. I look back upon repeated failures in my efforts to subdue inner conflicts and fears, to combat immaturity and celf centeredness, to build genuine and enriching relationships with other people, to conquer besetting sins, and to grow in holiness and communion with God. I see now that every period in my life has been marked by.... struggle. But the persistence of the failures together with a growing understanding of the past, has made the struggles of recent years exceptionally intense and painful. William Carey

How many of us would describe our Christian walk to the world like that? How many would be that honest and commit it all on paper or on the internet? Yet these are the words of a man that has learned to live by the grace of God instead of His own performance.
Paul often referred to himself as the least of God's people. Paul leraned to live by grace. Grace is so awesome and because of it we can admit our failures and struggles to a Father who will not only forgive but help us continue on in this race. None of us are fit in our own right to stand before a holy God. None of us our fit in our own right to serve God or others on His behalf...but God has made it so by His grace. While we like Paul may never apprehend it all we are promised that God looks forward to showing us the riches of His grace not only in this life, but through all eternity. Thank You Father.

Everybody on Earth Needs a Good Bath

Ezekiel 36:25-27 (New Living Translation)

25 “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. 27 And I will put My Spirit in you so that you will follow My decrees and be careful to obey My regulations.

There is nobody on Earth like God. Only He can deliver us from idols. I don't know about you, but I've had many idols booted out of my life by God over the last 29 years and I'm so glad.Hallelujah! God HATES idols. Anything or anyone that we put more of our trust in than God--or anything or anyone who we worship or just can't do without is an idol. Let's go deeper, in addition idols can also be considered as someone or something that we need as we pray or worship, an aid if you will. If you need a statue or a picture to help you pray or worship God then umm..that's an idol. Stone images and pretty paintings have no life in them and therefore cannot give life let alone give a new heart and God's Holy Spirit. Only God has the love and power to clean us, wash away our sins, give us His Spirit, and new heart. I'm so thankful to God for that and I'm so grateful that on this journey God continues to bathe us through His Word. Ephesians 5:26

Idols will always try to contend for the throne of our hearts but only 100% devotion to God and reading God's Word daily will keep them from succeeding. Nobody deserves our pure worship and devotion like Jesus, because Jesus is Lord!

Let's Remember, Jesus is LORD!!!

God Deserved Our Time & Attention ~

In the world we live in today, it is very easy to get so incredibly caught up in all of the demands that culture places on us that we don't have any time to spend with God.

However, the fact that so many things compete for every person's time isn't new to the world. Indeed, in Luke 10:38-42, we see the story of how two people responded to this same problem in two very different ways: As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. ...

We see that after Jesus entered the home, He evidently started teaching, and Mary, Martha's sister, stopped what she was doing and listened to Jesus. It's important to realize that Mary didn't know Jesus was coming, and so it certainly wasn't her plan to stop what she was doing and sit at His feet, listening to Him. However, Mary considered hearing from God so important that she altered her schedule to spend time with God.

... But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" Here, we see that Martha responded very differently than her sister: she became really busy and caught up in what she was doing -- probably preparing a meal, cleaning the house, or something similar.

When Martha complained to Jesus about how Mary was using her time, Jesus responded: "Martha, Martha, ... you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

One sister was willing to drop everything in order to hear from God; the other was too busy with everyday life in order to spend time with God. Jesus makes it clear that the way Mary chose to use her time was better.

In your life, you need to be willing to use your time like Mary did. Don't let little things steal your time away from what's really important in life. You must realize that there is no lasting value to the "urgent" things many people often allow to interfere with what's truly important. It would not have mattered if Martha hadn't cleaned the house that day.

You need to be willing to let your schedule be altered if knowing God better requires it. Don't be like Martha and get so caught up in life's distractions that you miss Jesus.

Jesus the Savior NOT the Entertainer

Isaiah 61:1-3 (21st Century King James Version)

Isaiah 61

"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound, To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn, To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He might be glorified.

Do you ever sit back and think about why Jesus came when He did, and why He preached how He preached? He came during a simpler uncomplicated time period, and His preaching was simple, powerful, and pure.
Jesus drew people because He preached in demonstration and power. The Bible says He made of Himself of no reputation. Jesus didn't need to promote Himself or His ministry. Phil.2:7
The depraved, desperate, and ones needing deliverance saught Him out because of the power of His word and the compassion of His heart. Jesus used word pictures that were relevant to the times but not over the top. He spoke clearly about the Kingdom of God, Heaven and Hell, sin, and the devil. He spoke about fisherman, farmers, athletes, etc.. to prove His points. He spoke as the Savior, the Son of God, the Son of Man, The Word and on and on. There was nothing ever sensual or entertaining about His ministry or style, He gave the world what they needed--the Truth and He gave it in simplicity. One thing about the times we live in is that the demands on our time are greater and that sometimes results in our attention spans are prone to becoming are short. Sometimes we want what we want quickly and with as many bells and whistles as we can stand, is anything wrong with lights, cameras, and action of course not, but the problem arises in how we respond when those things are not present or are present and don't work. Can you still press through when the sound goes out during praise and worship, or what if the dry ice doesn't get blown in the right direction as scripted? Do we need to be relevant in this time period absolutely, but we need to also by mindful to keep our attenion focused on Christ and not on the toys that may or may not be available whenever the Gospel is presented. One thing is true, if you have to be entertained to accept the Gospel chances are you will have to be entertained to stay with the Gospel. Be thankful for all the creative ways there are to present the Gospel, but keep yourself from relying on them to entertain you. Church services or just someone talking to us on the street about Christ should captivate us because of the Word being preaced or spoken and not so much in the presentation as a whole. written by Marva Johnson

An Acceptable Sacrifice

Romans 12:1 (Amplified Bible)

I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

WHEW!!! That's a whole lot of meat up in that verse. First Paul says in view of all the mercies of God present your bodies asliving sacrifices. Selah. We could stop right there. What has God done for you since you accepted His Son as Saviour? Peace, protection, provision, vision, fresh forgiveness? God is saying in view of all that I have done and continue to do for you all I ask is that you present to Me, your bodies as a living sacrifice. He doesn't want to have to go round us up like wild horses into the corral. He wants us to come and serve Him, and love Him freely. This presenting reminds me of going to church on Sunday. We get up, get dressed, go and serve in some cases. WHY? Because we love Him and we want to present ourselves before Him. Now here goes the living sacrifice part. Praise and Worship. Does the worship leader have to prime the pump to get you to worship your Heavenly Father? I should hope not...in view of all His mercies. Here the Father is asking us to present ourselves LIVING sacrifices! In the temple those animals being offered up were lively! They had some life in them and that's what God wants out of our reasonable service to Him too! PASSION!!! There is no sacrifice as stale as someone doing something for the LORD with no fire in their belly.

It is hard to offer anything genuine up to the LORD with passion if it has not been seasoned in holiness. A lamb without blemish is what used to be offered up. Jesus has now become our sanctification and we have our part in that as well. It's called dying to flesh. Fully acceptable to the LORD is what God requires which is our reasonable service. God could have put so many demands on us in view of all His mercies, but He didn't. His requests are reasonable, His yoke is easy and His burden is light. This week as you live as LIVELY sacrifices unto the LORD rejoice and move with passion in holiness. That's an acceptable sacrifice to the LORD.
