A Pattern for Success Psalm 105 :1-6

Hallelujah! Thank God! Pray to Him by name!
Tell everyone you meet what He has done!
Sing Him songs, belt out hymns,
translate His wonders into music!
Honor His holy name with Hallelujahs,
you who seek God. Live a happy life!
Keep your eyes open for God, watch for His works;
be alert for signs of His presence.
Remember the world of wonders He has made,
His miracles, and the verdicts He's rendered—
O seed of Abraham, his servant,
O child of Jacob, his chosen.

Is it just me or can you see a pattern in this?!
I see a person calling on God for Salvation, then that person proclaiming to everyone they meet what He has done. Next honoring Him, praising and worshiping Him seeking Him! Experiencing and demonstarting the joy that should mark our lives as Christians. Being watchful, I would even say pursuing Him and being pursued by Him. REMEMBER what He has made, His miracles, and the justice He has given out before! I apply this to the times in life when it gets HARD. You know those places that are dry and feel lonely? Those challenging places that try to convince you that God doesn't love or care about you. Remind yourself what He has already done AND has the capability of doing on your behalf!! God loves us so much and He never said that we would be exempt from heartache, test, trials, afflictions, or tribulation. He promised that our sins would be forgiven with abundant and eternal life given. He promised He would never leave us nor forsake us... so REJOICE!! That is a pattern for success!

Are You Ready for War?

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (New King James Version)

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Have you ever talked to a new Believer only to have them cry in your arms as they try to figure out WHY they are suddenly going through this or that? I have....and my heart breaks every time, not because they are experiencing some fierce opposition, but because they didn't expect or prepare for war.
As a Believer how do you wage a good warfare? Preparation!! For me it amounts to quality time studying, praying, fasting, patience, and worship. Victory is assured when we fight according to God's instructions no matter how long or short the battle rages. Also when engaging the enemy we have to be intentional, diligent, and vigilant to cast down arguments of doubt, fear, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We all know the battlefield is the mind, so if we keep our thoughts in check and obedient to Christ we wage a better warfare. Instead of feeding on the deadly thoughts and arguments of the enemy we cast them down!!! Why? So we can respond in faith, glorify Christ, all the while being in a better position to be lead by the Spirit instead of being driven, trying to fight in the flesh.

God promises us in His Word that He will always cause us to triumph in Christ Jesus. As we engage in warfare His way, with His weapons and strategies... we pull down strongholds, advance, and take territory for our King! More than conquerors, kings and priests unto God....THAT's who we are. No longer does any Believer need to ask "why" better to say "why not" and fight victoriously to the glory of God.

Fasting that Pleases God- Repost

It's a wonderful Wednesday and I'm so excited about what God is doing in the earth!!!
I have to tell you that these are simply exciting times! I have witnessed and am hearing so much about the movements of God to and through His people. One of things that I'm noticing is God's people hungering after Him. Hungering after a deeper relationship with Him and just not being satisfied with where they are. There are prayer movements popping up all over the place and people are catching onto the power of fasting! For me fasting, prayer and reading the Word are like FIRE POWER!!!
All I know is God honors our efforts in ways that are unimaginable. So here is a repost of fasting and if you can do it(as always check with your Dr. I promise you your spiritual life will NEVER be the same!!

Fasting! I absolutely love it...well maybe I should say fasting..I absolutely love the results! (-:
I'm so thankful that God laid fasting on a regular basis for Marriges and Leaders on Lady Bee's heart here at Prayer for Everyone. I have had good days, I have had challenging days, but I realized the prayer and fasting being done could mean the difference between somebody staying married and divorcing, somebody in ministry giving up or pressing their way and souls saved... that's a great revelation to have to help stay focused!

In Isaiah 58 and Mark 9:29 these are the kind of fasts that we do here at Prayer for Everyone.
We fast and pray for other people's deliverance, breakthroughs, and blessings.
If you want to join us on Mondays and Fridays please check with your Dr. to make sure you are able to fast. I also encourage you to go through the Bible and find the different types of fasts, there are many! Here are just a few to wet your appetite for more. (-:

Repentance of Sin
Jonah 3:5-10

Deliverance from Enemies
2 Chronicles 20:3

Protection & Guidance
Ezra 8:21-23

Fasting alone has no spiritual value. It only has value when we fast with a purpose unto the LORD, humble ourselves, and set our face to seek His help and counsel by way of prayer and fasting, and guess what? He always answers. (-:

Paint, Repentance, Refocus

Today I reflect back on when my Mom came to visit us and how we wanted everything just perfect for her. We wanted to honor her, as she made many sacrifices to come and join us for our daughters graduation. One of the things we did was paint, we chose delightful pastels in green, blue, and caramel. After we painted nearly every room I looked at the edges and noticed that they weren't blended well. I felt a little discouraged as we had worked so hard only to end up having "light areas" between the edges of the upper wall and ceiling. As I sighed in frustration immediately the LORD spoke to me and said, "Don't focus on the imperfections, just enjoy the beauty of the colors on the walls." Who else but God can speak to a situation and bring such liberating revelation!
As I'am going through the book of I Kings there is a passage of Scripture that stands out to me and blessed me so. It is God's comments to Solomon regarding his father David. Now as human beings we sometimes are very good at spotting imperfections not just in ourselves, but others as well. I rejoice because truly God's ways are NOT our ways and His thoughts are NOT our thoughts. Read with me God's description of David to his son King Solomon I Kings 9:4a

As you follow me with integrity and godliness as David your father did... WOW! RRRRRRewind!!! Stop right here and think about you for a minute. If you are reading this God has already declared that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, but what is it, what imperfection(s) do you dwell on in your life that keeps you from enjoying who you and what you do? What devastating mistake(s) have you made that you can't quite take your focus off of? Please be encouraged today. Whatever it is or was stop beating yourself up. Did you repent? Yes?! Then guess what? God isn't focusing on where you've missed it in life, He's focusing on helping you to continue in Him and finishing well.
Think about this fact God knew about all the mistakes of David, but in the end God said David followed him in integrity and godliness. As we live a repentant lifestyle like David, learning from our mistakes and not living in them, and continuing on in Him we will be able to enjoy more fully who we are in Him, and this wonderful life He has given us. I believe that as we refocus and see the beauty we bring to God and not just the mistakes made, in the end God will have great things to say about us as well!
