Worship the Lord ONLY

In the world today there are sooo many talented people! People that have melodic voices, astounding business acumen, great athletic ability, multi media empires, incredible political savvy etc... While we may admire the gifts and talents given to others we should not be willing to look the other way when he or she does wrong or make major life decisions based on the lifestyle or advice of that celebrity. We should never put another person or thing above God or His Word. If God says He demands we walk in "holiness" and your favorite "star" says,"Awww that's old fashioned" who's report will you believe?! One of my favorite lines in a song is, "No one deserves worship unless he's perfect." Jesus is perfect and He is the only "Superstar."
He is sinless. We never have to worry about Him causing a scandal in Heaven, we never have to worry about Him disappointing or hurting us because He made a move we didn't agree with. We never have to worry about Him abandoning us because He said, "I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you." Jesus is PERFECT! He gives, He corrects, He helps, He blesses, He LOVES! As we go through life let's keep in mind that it's ok to appreciate and honor the gifts in people, but only Jesus is PERFECT and deserves worship, because only JESUS IS LORD (-:

Keeping God Front and Center As We Lead

One of my favorite authors on leadership is John Maxwell. My husband blessed me with his leadership Bible, which is simply the Word of God with John Maxwell inserting his leadership expertise in between. Today I want to share with you some of his wisdom and what I've learned as well. A good leader will get great results, and a bad leader well... I have had the opportunity to lead many things in my 29 years with Jesus and the one thing that has kept me steady and grounded is realizing that my security as a leader rests in God alone. When God is your focus you know it only through Him and His power that you are able to do anything worthy for Him. When God is "Center Stage" you realize that it is His Word that helps people ummm... not you. When God's ownership is clear you know that you exists for the people and not the other way around. I look at ministry this way. God's Word is the food and we are just spoons and forks delivering His Word to hungry souls.
Below is some great advice from Bro.Maxwell.

1. People cannot provide security for a leader.
2. Leaders should never put their emotional health in the hands of someone else.
3. Spiritual and emotional health requires the truth.
4. Leaders must remember that hurting people naturally hurt people
5. Trouble arises when leaders depend on people to do what ONLY God can.

Have a wonderful day today and remember if we keep God at the "center" of our lives and ministry He will always be the "Star" and we will stay healthy and grounded. He will also help us,to help His people to focus soley on Him too (-:

Fasting That Pleases God

Fasting! I absolutely love it...well maybe I should say fasting..I absolutely love the results! (-:
I'm so thankful that God laid fasting on a regular basis for Marriges and Leaders on Lady Bee's heart here at Prayer for Everyone. I have had good days, I have had challenging days, but I realized the prayer and fasting being done could mean the difference between somebody staying married and divorcing, somebody in ministry giving up or pressing their way and souls saved... that's a great revelation to have to help stay focused!

In Isaiah 58 and Mark 9:29 these are the kind of fasts that we do here at Prayer for Everyone.
We fast and pray for other people's deliverance, breakthroughs, and blessings.
If you want to join us on Mondays and Fridays please check with your Dr. to make sure you are able to fast. I also encourage you to go through the Bible and find the different types of fasts, there are many! Here are just a few to wet your appetite for more. (-:

Repentance of Sin
Jonah 3:5-10

Deliverance from Enemies
2 Chronicles 20:3

Protection & Guidance
Ezra 8:21-23

Fasting alone has no spiritual value. It only has value when we fast with a purpose unto the LORD, humble ourselves, and set our face to seek His help and counsel by way of prayer and fasting, and guess what? He always answers. (-:

Jesus is Lord - LET JESUS COME IN

Text: John 2:13-18

With a whip, Jesus drove away all the animals being sold in the temple. He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. He told the merchants, “How dare you turn my Father’s house into a market?” Jesus cleansed the temple that day. But some Jews demanded for a miraculous sign to prove His authority to do it. Jesus gave them a figurative answer pointing to his death and resurrection saying, “Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days.”

Where Jesus has authority, He cleanses. And when He cleanses, He destroys the system that brings the filth. A life that is fully surrendered to Jesus allows Jesus to carry out His authority to cleanse it. A visitor has no authority to check the cleanliness of a house, specially the private rooms. But the master of the house has all authority to check and to decide to cleanse the house. Don’t keep Jesus standing at the door. Let Him come in and be the resident and master of your life. Allow Him to carry out His authority even in the innermost part of your life. Is there an area in your life that has not been cleansed? Maybe, you have restricted it from the authority of Jesus. Open it up and surrender it to the Lord.
