Understanding Salvation

Did you know that God wants you to know for sure that you have eternal life?  Eternal life is based on facts found in the bible.

Let's look at the facts:

  • Your Assurance is based on the Word of God.
  • Your Assurance is based on the Promises of God.
  • Your Assurance is based on the Character of God.
  • Your Assurance is based on the Spirit of God.

We urge you to read these helpful verses:
~John 3:16 & 1 John 5:11-13 is the Word of God
~Romans 10:9 & John 5:24 gives you the Promises of God
~1 Corinthian 1:9 & 1Thessalonians 5:24 & Hebrews 10:23 shows the Character of God
~Ephesians 1:13-14 tell us about the Spirit of God

Be Blessed by the Word of God.....  Amen.

The Spiritual War

PRAY ► PRAY  PRAY!!!
Are you aware that satan tries really hard to keep you from prayer?  Coming in between you and God by positioning himself to cause chaos in your life.  But when God gives you the power to overcome the tricks of satan, the power to pray,  and the power to trust in His word,  you have won the victory!  Satan becomes spooked when we move forward for God!

Keep pressing forward......

~Deuteronomy 33:27~  "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, "Destroy"!  Amen....

God Is......

God is our protector, God is our healer, God is our provider,God is our ALL and ALL!  God does not leave His people in destruction and torment. Ok, you messed up yesterday.  You said the wrong words, loved the wrong person, reacted the wrong way.  You spoke when you should have listened, walked when you should have waited, judged when you should have trusted and indulged when you should have resisted.  God will restore YOU!  As Donnie McClurkin has said, we fall down, but we get up.

Keep in mind that God's mercies are new each and every day.  Open your heart and receive them.

~Lamentation~ 5:21 "Turn us back to You, O Lord, and we will be restored; renew our days as of old".

May God Draw YOU and YOURS Nearer,
Surrounding You with His Strength and Perfect Peace.  Amen...

SERVANTHOOD

Do you take, take, take and never give? Are there people you wouldn't lower yourself to help?  Take personal inventory of your life.  Study the idea of servanthood and ask God to place people in your path during this month so that you can be their servant.

In the Book of John it speaks about Jesus himself being a servant by washing His disciples feet.  He did this to give us a significant lesson in servanthood.  ~John 13:1-17~.....

Also in the Book of Matthew 20:25-28.  (Matt 20:28 says, "just as a Son of Man did not come to be served, but serve, and to give His life a ransom for many").

Read more; 1 Corinthians 3:4-9 and 2 Corinthians 3:4-6.

May Your Day Shine
in His Most Gracious Blessings!

A Life Lesson

Many of us develop an reputation as we move forward through life, good or bad.  Know that everyone who is acquainted with you has their opinion about you.  If your name comes up in conversation, people may think certain things.  They remember specific interactions; they recall past incidents.  Like it or not, you are being judged by others.

What reputation do you have? The fact is, if we claim to be followers of Jesus Christ, our reputation is enormously important.  When we let God be God, and allow Him to do his transforming work in our hearts, the difference Christ makes will slowly become evident on the surface of our lives.
Make a point to read the Book of Matthew chapter 5.  It describes God's radical reconstruction of the heart.  The more radical the change, the greater the joy.  It is worth every effort, for this is the joy of God.

Amen.....

The Way, the Truth, and the Life

Good morning Saints!

Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.  In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.  And where I go you know, and the way you know.  John 14:1-4.

It was asked, Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life".  No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Amen.....

Jesus knew that the disciples were troubled.  He reassured them by teaching about the Holy Spirit, who would help them.  Are you troubled about a situation today?  Read ~John 14:1-6~ and allow the Holy Spirit to help you.

Christ's Suffering and Ours

1 Peter 3:18-22

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.

There is also an anitype which now saves us - baptism not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.

Because Christ died for us, we should always be ready to share our faith, to suffer for our faith, even to die for our faith.

John 6:35, "And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life.  He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst."

Be Richly Blessed by the Word.  Amen

The Way of the Righteous & The End of the Ungodly

God offers us two roads to travel, the way of the righteous or the way of the wicked.  God provides, protects, and nourishes the righteous.

Psalm 1:1-6 "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.  He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.  Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.  For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish."

May God Bless the reading of His word. Amen.....

Is Jesus Really LORD of Everything?

Luke 6:46 (Amplified Bible)

46 Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you?
The greek word for Lord in this verse is kurious. One meaning says, supreme in authority. The dictionary breaks it down this way:
Lord- One having power and authority over others: a ruler by hereditary right or preeminence to whom service and obedience are due: an owner of land or other real property: the male head of a household, husband: one that has achieved mastery or that exercises leadership or great power in some area.

Jesus is LORD, and He is LORD whether we obey Him or not. He is LORD whether we agree with Him or not. He is LORD because that is the title given to Him by the Father. As LORD and Master, He has every right to make demands of us. But He has also given us the right to choose His way or our way. The sad part is the longer we disobey Him in anything the harder we get in that area, and then GOD has to bring out His belt and then it's off to the shed!

So here is some food for thought. If we are resisting His will in any given area then we are not practicing His will in that area consistently right? So then if we are not practicing what He's telling us on a regular and consistent basis then have we dethroned Him in that area? How many areas can we be disobedient to Him in or self willed, before we end up in a backslidden state or worse a reprobate? I can't answer that. Only God knows how much or how little He's going to put up with. One thing I do know, our relationship with Him is too precious to jeopardize and so are our souls.

My advice. Stay in the Word, Stay Tender, Repent Quickly, and Obey Instantly. I remember one night driving home and the LORD saying to me Marva stop at the train tracks. It was 5am and I was tired and I wanted to get home, so I kept going. Then Jesus said it again but this time He shouted STOP!!!! I came to a stop instantly and as I did, without any warning a train zoomed past me. I sat there both shook and thankful that Jesus didn't tell me one time only and leave me to suffer the consequences, He very well could have if He wanted to because as LORD- He can do whatever, whenever, and however. I'm so thankful that He told me again and I listened. What is God requiring of you dear one? Let Jesus be LORD, obey Him in that thing(s)and reap the freedom and rewards from that obedience today (-:

Don't Gamble with Eternity, JESUS is the SURE bet!

Temptations of Life

How many of us know of a couple who has experienced adultery in their marriage?  Has your marriage experience this type of devastation?  As we know today, temptation is everywhere!  We would be foolish to think we or our husbands can't be affected by it in some form or another.
~Proverbs 27:20~ states, "The eyes of man are never satisfied."

The enemy knows our weaknesses and will place temptations in our paths at our most vulnerable times.  We must stand tall in our faith and know how to handle it when they arise.  The bible says that God does not tempt us.  It is merely our desires that draw us away to what entices us.  It is our desires that cause us to fall and open the door of death into our own lives.

Scripture states in James 1:12-15 "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.  Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.  But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death."
The question is, will you chose to live or die?

Accepted By God, Yet Rejected By Men

Greetings everyone! We pray that your day will be a glorious one full of wisdom, health, discernment, opportunities, enlarged territories, and blessings!

Today is about a subject very close to my heart. This subject affects all of us as Christians and I just want to offer some encouragement.

Acts 5:28-30 (21st Century King James Version) saying, "Did not we strictly command you that ye should not teach in this name? And behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine and intend to bring this man's blood upon us."

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, "We ought to obey God rather than men.

The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

Desperate for a Chance?

Text: 2 CHRONICLES 29:1-11, 26-27; 31:1

King Hezekiah led the whole nation of Israel to repentance, and a great revival happened. Worship like in the days of King David was restored and the people destroyed all forms of idols and their altars.

Repentance brings true spiritual revival, and along with revival is change. Real change begins in a repentant heart that longs to return and get closer to God like he never did before. This is where the flame of revival begins. This is when a Christian can smash the strongholds of Satan that has kept him in the bondage of a defeated life. Are you struggling with a bad habit which you know is not right but you feel it is too difficult to conquer? Then desire for the flame of revival in your heart. When a repentant heart burns with the flame of revival in its deeper passion for Jesus, smashing the altar of a bad habit will follow. This deeper passion for the Lord is your strength to cut down the high places of the bad habits that have engulfed your life and have kept you from living a triumphant life in Jesus. Do it now, take the step to fall on your knee before the Lord. Because repentance brings the flame and leads to change.

Learn to Be Holy

To be Holy, you need to understand that only God can be your source of holiness.  Anything you do is only cooperation with Him, allowing more of His life into yours.

Do the things of the Spirit:  Prayer, Bible Study, Discipleship and Fellowship with other believers.

1 Thessalonians 4:4... "Each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable."

Galatians 5:16... "So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature."

DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION?

Good teachers come up with exciting ways to capture their audiences attention.

Let's look at how Jesus captured the attention of his disciples.  As Jesus walked on the Sea of Galilee, that got his disciples to pay great attention to who he was and what he was all about!  During that time, they might not have understood that He was the best teacher they could ever have.

Why did Jesus choose this method to capture their attention?  He wanted his disciples and us to pay attention to Him as their chief, focus even when the storms of life seem to take total control.  His voice breaks through the rumble of water and wind and says, "It is I; don't be afraid."

Do you hear Jesus speaking to YOU?

~John 6:19~ "They saw Jesus approaching the boat; walking on the water."

Prayer:  Father God, forgive me for allowing the storms of life to distract me from hearing you.  I believe you are Lord over all things.  Help me to trust you wholeheartedly.  In Jesus Name, Amen!

Move Up to the Next Level

* I Am Pressing Toward the Goal of the Prize *

Many ask, what is the next level?  As we know Christ more, we will discover the insignificance of wordly treasures. Your true goal should be to know Christ and His power He has granted unto us.

So, self examine yourself and see if you have started doing some things that God has instructed you to do.  When you have mastered one level, go on to the next.  It is the only way to keep growing and developing your Godly skills!

~Philippians 3:12-14~
"Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.  Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.  I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

The Heart of Worship

What is central in your life today?  For some people, it's material things and for others it's power and having financial success.  For Christians, the central thing in our lives is JESUS.  Think about it, Jesus is the reason why we get up each day. He should be central in everyone's lives. When Jesus is the heart of your worship, your mind should be focused on; Him, world peace, feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, helping single mothers, women and children that are abused.  Spreading the Gospel to everyone and living a peaceful and Christian life.

Come to the heart of worship, where it's all about Jesus.

~Psalm 100:2-3~
"Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing.  Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture."

In knowing this, we must make Him central in our lives today and forever more!  Amen.

The Power of a Renewed Mind

In your life, you will experience some trials and tribulations.  When you're faced with adversity, does your thoughts control your actions? If so, pray and ask God to renew your mind and to increase your power.  As scripture states in Romans 12:2, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will."  Furthermore, the word also says in Numbers 14:18, "The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion."

Let's pray:  Lord, what a blessing You are that You have given me such an array of emotion which allows me to express myself.  Help me to become more like You.  Renovate me, transform me so I can be balanced and pleasing to You in my actions.  I want to be wise and enjoy sound thinking.  I pray for more discernment, so that in whatever comes my way, I will have the grace to think, speak and act with a good and godly attitude.  Help me to know Your will and have a mind that's renewed and full of power.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

Take back control of your thoughts, because if you don't learn how to control your thoughts, you will never learn how to control your behavior.

(Meditate on Romans 12:2 for this entire week).

The Purpose of Prayer

Did you know that Christians are called to a lifestyle of prayer

Yes, we are!  Prayer is the responsibility of every Christian.  God's Word tells us to pray at all times.  We should be praying continuously, because talking to God is a great privilege.  When we pray, we are entering into a personal intimate relationship with God.  Think of it as a love connection with God.  Ask yourself, how is my love connection?

Many have come to see prayer as calling upon the Heavenly Butler for daily service or crying out to the Heavenly Lifeguard when you are drowning in your daily circumstances.  Certainly God has more for you than that.  Much of your discontent and worry is the result of disobedience to God's Word.

Keep in mind;

(Ephesians 6:18) "With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints."

(1Thessalonians 5:17) "Pray without ceasing."

By connecting and staying connected to the True Source, you could positively be transformed.

AMEN....

JESUS our SAVIOR

Have you ever wondered why Jesus came to earth?

Well let's take a look at what scripture states...  (John 10:10) "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."  (John 14:6) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me."  (Acts 4:12) "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

As we read each scripture, Jesus clearly said that there's only one way to heaven and one path that leads to God, and He is the way!  Salvation is beautifully, and incredibly simple.  Jesus came to earth to save us from our own sinful nature and to give us eternal life.

Christ is our faithful Shepherd.  Put ALL your trust in Him.  He wants to give you life to the fullest!

Fasting

Fasting! I absolutely love it...well maybe I should say fasting..I absolutely love the results! (-:
I'm so thankful that God laid fasting on a regular basis for Marriges and Leaders on Lady Bee's heart here at Prayer for Everyone. I have had good days, I have had challenging days, but I realized the prayer and fasting being done could mean the difference between somebody staying married and divorcing, somebody in ministry giving up or pressing their way and souls saved... that's a great revelation to have to help stay focused!

In Isaiah 58 and Mark 9:29 these are the kind of fasts that we do here at Prayer for Everyone.
We fast and pray for other people's deliverance, breakthroughs, and blessings.
If you want to join us on Mondays and Fridays please check with your Dr. to make sure you are able to fast. I also encourage you to go through the Bible and find the different types of fasts, there are many! Here are just a few to wet your appetite for more. (-:

Repentance of Sin
Jonah 3:5-10

Deliverance from Enemies
2 Chronicles 20:3

Protection & Guidance
Ezra 8:21-23

Fasting alone has no spiritual value. It only has value when we fast with a purpose unto the LORD, humble ourselves, and set our face to seek His help and counsel by way of prayer and fasting, and guess what? He always answers!

For the LORD Takes Pleasure in His People..
Psalm 149:4
